Phone Features

The Office of Information Technology strives to offer the highest quality phone features to meet the needs of the students at NC State. The following phone features are included in the local phone service package:

  • Call Return - you can return a call to the last person who called your number.
  • Three-Way Calling - you can add a third party to an existing call. You may exclude a party on your existing call, dial another party and speak privately and then add on your original (excluded) party to form a three-way call.
  • Caller-ID - Caller ID is new to NC State students starting Fall 2001. With a Caller ID box or Caller ID-ready phone (both provided by the student) students can view the number of the person calling them provided that the number is not blocked by the calling party.
